Cask at the Kentish Belle, Bexleyheath. Amber pour with a white head. Floral, citrussy nose. Flavours of bitter citrus, light spice. Refreshing.

Cask (gravity) @ Tap East Pub & Brewery, The Great Eastern Market, Westfield Stratford City, Stratford, Greater London, England E20 1ET. [ As Great Heck Washington Red ].Clear medium amber orange colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, grass - dry grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, dry, nutty, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150803] 7-3-7-3-15

Cask at the Elm Tree, Cambridge. Amber/brown, a bit of white head. Looks very thin. Red berry and a touch of resin in the aroma with a good dose of forest floor. Nicely bitter in the taste becoming quite intensely bitter toward the aftertaste. Borders on acrid but the berry and earthy notes pad it out. Not one of Great Heck’s best although enjoyable enough.

Cask at The Stockbridge Tap. Clear amber body with a dense off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma of toffee and earth. Flavour of tea, pine and sweet apricot. Thin body with a slick, slightly oily mouthfeel. Uncomplicated and pretty tasty.

Cask-conditioned at the Bank Tavern, Bristol 18/7/2016. Amber in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Aroma of red berries, citrus hops and biscuity malts. Flavour was similar, with crisp malts, more fruit and a dryish finish. Pleasant drinking.

Tap East Collab Fest. Cask. Hazy deep gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and a little dry. Decent fine carbonation. Light malts, semi sweet. Good floralness segues seamlessly into mild citrus. Touches of peel and lemon. Light dry finish. Nicely joined up floral - citric character, went down very easy.

Draft at Tap East. Pours clear copper with a creamy off-white head. Toasty grain aroma with nips of ash. Light sweet flavorbwith more grain, orange rind, light earth and wood. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry and woody finish, some grass. OK.

Cask at tap east. During the Yorkshire open brew house beer fest. Hazed orange golden coloured pour with a lasting halo of white head. Aroma is sticky caramel, piney hop, light caramel. Flavour is piney, citrus lemon, semi sweet, light caramel, grainy., little varnish. Palate is semi sweet, highish carbonation, caramel. Little sticky hop resin on the tongue.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden on 27th June 2015. Deep amber with thin off-white head and scant lacing. Richly hoppy and yeasty aroma. Hoppy and fruity in-mouth with bitterness present. All three features continue into the finish, with citrus on-the-tongue. Fair-bodied with a mildly zingy mouthfeel.
