Cask @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Copper with small head. Very strong tasting with an acute malty-sweet nose. There’s hints of carmel sweetness in its taste, but its strength negates any possible flavours.

Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light smooth palate with mild nibbly carbonation on the back end. Light creamy malts, sweet and smooth. Crystallised fruits, sweetish orange and a little hop spice. Light semi dry finish brings pithy bitterness. Easy drinking and pretty decent.

On tap at the Red Squirrel. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - flowers and custard. Taste - tangy orange and creme brulee. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - interesting but more interesting than good. Sum of the parts is good though.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear gold. Halo of white head. Very sweet, toffee malts. Fusty hop. Some orange. Some peach. Taste is sticky sweet, turning full on bitter. Sticky, chewy palate. Finishes long bitter. Bit of a dry close. Some nice hop in there, but it’s a bit sticky sweet. Doesn’t come together.
