Cask at The White Hart, Tongham. 10/06/16. Very light aroma, picking up a yeasty musk and not much else. Attractive appearance - a rich chestnut with a good off-white creamy head. Medium bitter in taste - doesn’t hang around. A smooth palate. OK - but nothin special. Reminds me of a national smooth ale.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from Butler’s Wines. Pours mostly clear amber-brown with a foamy tan head. The nose holds lightly toasted leaves, grain, damp earth. Light sweet flavor with well ripened berries, dirty leaves, earthy hops, grainy toast. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more wet leaves, simple brown bread, leathery berries. Somewhat ho hum.

Cadk gravity at Tonbridge Siba 2014. Dark brown clear lasting tan head. Good malts. Yes tasty a bit fuller than the 2 I had before this. Touch of clove or spice maybe. Decent.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Almost clear deep amber beer (not very ebony then!). Little pale tan head. Light dry palate. Light touch of dark malts, some dark toffee. Good dark dried fruits before a dry finish. Fine.
