Bo’Ho is our 1st ever lager. Not just any lager, it’s an Unfiltered Bohemian Lager that has been chillin in our conditioning tank for the past 4 weeks.

Like all authentic style beers we managed to source a traditional style Bohemian Lager strain to produce a beer with a decent malt back bone, fruity aroma and clean crisp finish. Traditional pilsner malt made up the majority of the malt bill whilst the bohemian Saaz hops being the flavouring hop.

Who ever said lagers couldn’t be awesome?

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grassy, herbal, some yeasty and mild grainy notes. Flavour is herbal, some hay as well as yeast and mild earthy notes. Nice bitterness in the finish. Not hopeless, but feels a bit wtf...

330ml bottle at Tiny Rebel in Newport. A two-finger thick, white head. Next to clear golden body. Laces well. Mid-sweet pale malty nose. Grain malty flavours with distant notes of butter. Drying, mid-sweet ending. Decent version of the style. (Shared with Finn 03.10.2018).

Fra flaske på Tiny Rebel, Newport. Spandert av og delt med Rune. Stråfarget. Høyt luftig skum som daler veldig sakte. Litt lacing. Halmaroma. Smaken søt malt med en lett tørr avslutning.

Tap at Craft Room. Hazy golden body thick white head. Light grainy malty aroma. Grainy malty taste, sweetish slightly but lean, good carbonation. Nice, but lacks hops... So just okay.

Off white frothy head left a cover on a translucent light golden body with lots of floaters. Minimal floral aroma. Medium to thin bodied. Very clean on the palate, slightly tingly on the back & cloying. Dry. Floral, wheat, yeast, & good tangy finish.

Bottle from Cambridge Wine Merchants, Cherry Hinton Road. Middle of the range gold, somewhat hazy. It’s a bit of a gusher, and I can’t help but pour a big foamy white head. Bit of lime and some grain in the aroma. Pleasant but not overwhelming. Well-balanced taste, with a dry bitterness from the Saaz hop rounding things off nicely. Citrus bitter/sour, peppery spice and more than a hint of astringency in the finish. Nicely done, doesn’t push the boat out at all but sometimes it’s nice to be safe in harbour.
