Dark brown pour, clear, with a small beige, creamy, looks ans feels like a Nitro head. Aroma is incredibly subtle and actually hard to find. Light, sweet breadiness, and light caramels. Creamy mouth feel, soft carb.. Finish has a very light bitterness, incredibly boring and subtle, barely anything going on here.

Bottle: Poured a deep clear burgundy color ale with a nice brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing notes. Aroma of caramelized malt with light toffee notes is enjoyable. Taste is a nice mix of caramelized malt notes with some light notes of toffee with some residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Doesn’t necessarily stand out from the crowd of scotch ale but well-made nonetheless.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Dark brown with red tinge and tan head. Caramel and biscuit malt with hint of nuts and dried fruit. Good flavours, but dissipates a bit quickly.

Sparkling brown, light tan head.Nose and palate are identical; bready malts & brown sugar.Seems too light bodied for style.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dry bready malts and very light dry caramel. Flavour is dry, with big n bold bready caramel malt that dominates. Pretty monolithic flavour component. Very good stuff.

Hazy dull amber-brown. Aroma has light phenols, sweet...maybe a bit too much.

Bottle from Legacy Liquor, Vancouver
Brown color, clean, with red hue, and with small head. Aroma of bread, dark caramel, treacle; some biscuits, marzipan and a light flowery/fruity impression. Good body strength, the mouthfeel is quite smooth and round; good flavor of caramel, with very moderate residual sweetness, but not as interesting as the aroma; correct bitterness, with a nutty final.
Nice beer; lacks a bit of flavor complexity.

650 ml bottle. Pours a clear mahogany with light head. Aromas of brown sugar, nuts, and biscuits. Flavors are similar with lots of toasted malts. Sweet, smooth and easy to drink but pretty basic.
