Pigs Ear Fest. Cask. Clear deep brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is light and dry, good fine carbonation. Nice condition. A light touch of soapy floralness. Mild salted caramel - got that bit right. Little dried fruits. Mildly spicy finish. Shame about the soapy bit but it just about pulls through.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2016. It pours deep brown with a decent off-white head. The aroma is toasty, cwois, fart, must, dried fruits, leather, salted caramel and dirt. The taste is bitter - sweet, toasty, mind acidity, chewy, salted caramel, earth, varnish leather and cinder toffee with a drying, sort of astringent finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Fair at best.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2016 - London. Pours brown with a frothy, khaki head. The aroma holds muted toasted bread, a little earth, a little leather. Light sweet flavor with noes of toasted sugar, berries, nips of plastic, caramel. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. The finish doesn’t tantalise - just a bit more berry sweetness, toasted sugars, bready malts and impressions of caramel.
