Bottle from Morrisons, Todmorden, as Marston’s Golden Ginger Beer. Golden with no head. The ginger is extremely strong in the ale, providing a spicy fire in the palate that lingers long.

Bottle from Morrisons. Like a non alcoholic ginger beer. It’s light clean no bad flavours even some stem ginger bite on the finish. Fine. But not very beery.

50cl bottle of Marstons Golden Gingeer Beer from Morrisons, Bracknell. An amber pour with a brief fizz and absolutely no head; ginger aroma; pungent ginger flavour with a touch of citrus; and a fiery finish that certainly clears the tubes. It’s not clear from the description if this is a real malt beer with added ginger; or if it’s an alcoholised ginger beer. I suspect the latter.

500ml bottle from Morrisons. Pours hazy golden amber, no head. Aromas of dried ginger, ginger cake. Taste is sweet, a little ginger heat. Kinda like a soft drink to be honest. Gassy.

(Bottle) Very slightly hazy golden with small white head. Pleasant but restrained authentic ginger aroma with earthy notes. Palate his light syrupy texture with fine bright carbonation. The taste is a little bit on the sweet side, however it pretty well balanced by assertive ginger flavour and some other spicy earthy notes. Overall a very good ginger beer, if a little sweet.
