This rare beer has been brewed again, at a higher strength, exclusively for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival. It is a golden bitter, with the New Zealand hops used providing a fruity aroma and flavour, leading to a lingering, bitter finish.

Cask at the Metropolitan Bar, JDW - London. Pours clear, bright gold with a frothy white head. The nose holds orange, leaves, grapefruit, dirty grains. Light to medium sweet with ripe orange and pale bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with more bready malts and ripened citrus fruits. So so.

Cask handpull at Victoria Spoons. Clear gold lasting white head. Ok fullish golden syrup beer. After the Purity Longhorn this isn’t as good. Some fullness juiciness in the mouth and some drying grassy hop on the finish. Fine.
