Cask Gravity at Pig’s Ear 2015. It pours clearish golden-amber with a small white head. The nose is soft, sweet, juicy, nectarine, tangerine, candied peel and a touch of sherbet. The taste is bitter, straw, pithy orange, nectarine, peachy, mild astringency, brioche and orange muffin. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good hit of alcohol boost. Nice orangey beverage. My favourite Southwark beer by some way.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2015, day 1 - London. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. The nose is, well, quite nice!, with pleasant New World hops, melon, tangerine. Light to medium sweet flavour, with continuing juicy citrus fruits, just a hint of plastic, pale bread, peach, nectarine, tangerine. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; pretty good condition. More citrusy hops on the finish, pale bread, light pine, hints of plastic, hay. One of the best beers from this brewery. Perhaps they’ve turned the corner.

Cask at Pigs Ear ’15, 01/12/15. Clear golden blonde with a decent off white head that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is peach, apricot, tropical fruit notes, grapefruit, toasted malt, juicy hop rinse. Taste comprises mandarin, floral hops, mango, orange pith, citric tinged straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a juicy hop wash. Solid IPA, best beer I’ve had from these guys by some way.
