[ As Revolutions The Queen Is Not Dead ].Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate - dark chocolate. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, dark chocolate, dark berries, roasted - malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Very dark brown, verging on black. Film of sticky, tan head. Nose has woody, fruity, dark chocolate malts. Fruity hop. Some bubblegum. Bit of anise, maybe. Taste is initially chocolatey sweet, turning ashy, burnt, fruity bitter. Lovely, rich, smooth mouthfeel. Perfect for the style of beer. Finishes long, deep, full, fruity, ashy bitter. Great stuff. Super drinkable. Best I’ve had from this brewer.

Cask at CBC Clerkenwell - London. pours brown with a creamy tan head. The nose has big roast character, cocoa, burnt earth. Medium sweet flavor with bittersweet chocolate, leathery fruits, ash, baking cocoa. Full bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Moderately warming on the finish, with bitter char, more baking cocoa. Not bad.

Cask at CBC Clerko, 10/09/15. Viscous brown coloured pour with a tan head. Aroma is big woody roast, dark toasted cocoa, toasted coconut. Flavour is dark choc, burned roast, burnt toast, earthy, some coconut. Not much sorachi. Lingering bitter roast. Palate is full and sticky, lowish carbonation, rough round the edges.

Craft Clerkenwell. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, untidy thin pale tan head. Palate is soft and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft rich dark malts, light cream, touches of roast and coffee. Modest Sorachi lemon. Dark fruits. Bitterness ramps up on the semi dry finish. Bitter linger. Not bad.

Cask at Craft Clerko. It pours near black/darkest brown with a small light tan head. The nose is sweet, stinky sorachi, coconut, tapioca, aniseed, chocolate roast and bubblegum. The taste is smooth, toasty, earthy roast, burnt, charred malt, ashy, alcohol boost, sweet liquorice and fennel with a very dry finish. medium body and low carbonation. Too dry and ashy for my liking. Also Sorachi Ace is the devil.

Cask at CBC Clerko, 10/09/15. Light black topped with a decent tan swirl. Nose is earthy roast, chocolate, spice, biscuit crumble. Taste comprises dark fruit rinds, mellow sorachi hit, tar, toffee, cocoa powder, light spice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough sorachi offering, the sorachi is well tempered.
