Bottle at GBBF 2016. Day 1. Pours rich brown with a frothy, tan head. The nose holds burnt grass, pine, roasted malts. Light sweet flavour with notes of charred earth, flinty minerals, more burnt pine bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Bitter and roasty in the finish, with more char notes, some dry and ashy wood, grass, cocoa. Nice one.

Bottle thanks to Daniel at GBBF 2016. It pours black with a thick light tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, chocolate, fudge, burnt pine and rocky road. The taste is bitter, rich roasted malt, charred wood, ashy, burnt cocoa and grapefruit with a very dry, charred finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A touch harsh perhaps, but overall decent.

GBBF Day 1. Bottle. Clear dark amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a trace of roast. Nice berry fruits - little cherry. Orange peel. Mild bitterness develops through the light dry finish and in to the aftertaste. Decent.

330ml bottle, take-out from GBBF 16, drunk on the train home. Pours a reassuring black with frothy tan-to-beige head. Aroma is roast, pine hop. Taste is light and breezy with soft floral English hops and nice roast on the finish. Nice easy-drinker for the train.
