Bottle thanks to Ash. It pours near black with a bubbly tan head. The aroma is sweet chocolate upfront, millionaires shortbread, maltesers, malt loaf, light spice, dried fruits, fruit cake, liquorice and roasted malt. The taste is smooth, toasted malt, roasted action, spice, cacao nibs, Malteser, fruit cake, plum, date, warming alcohol, chewy malt and toffee with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and soft/low carbonation. A touch more condition/carbonation wouldn’t go amiss here. Decent enough stout, without being a game changer.
