Una cerveza que no olvidarás, una vez la pruebes soñarás con enrolarte en el oscuro ejército tovarisch. De profundo color negro opaco de cuerpo medio alto y cremoso. Marcado aroma tostado y torrefacto que se envuelve en toques licorosos y de frutos secos. Contundente y compleja en sabor con predominio de notas a café y chocolate con un amargor ligero y sutil en retrogusto.

BB 01.2040. black color, very dark coffee colored head. smells ripe fruits, tobacco, marzipan, nutty, some vanilla, light chlorophyll, some brown sugar. nice smell. Full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of brown sugar, grassy, caramel, bit nutty, marzipan, bitter chocolate, bit earthy, molasses, hints of vanilla. finishes light to medium sweet with notes of brown sugar, ripe fruits and earthy notes. rather heavy and sweet but still very nice balance and for the abv very good to drink. very good stuff overall.

Black colored, medium tan creamy head, decent lasting. Aroma is of roasted malt, light caramel, dark chocolate, some brown sugar, dark fruit, coffee. Taste is medium to very sweet malt, roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee, some burnt sugar, bit nutty, bit toasted bread, some dark fruits, medium+ bitterness and light alcohol with a nice burn, dark chocolate lasting aftertaste. Full bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. Very nice. (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

Bottle at Murphy’s. Pitch black pour with a dark espresso head. Notes of smoke, molasses, dark cherry bitterness, dark chocolate, roasted coffee. Quite intense, very bitter and quite sqeet at the same time. --- Beer merged from original tick of Aupa Tovarisch on 18 Mar 2017 at 20:08 - Score: 8

Bottle 330ml (01.2040). ABV 12%. Unclear, black colour. Small, brown head, short in time with delicate lacing. Chocolate is the main note in aorma, quite intense and very nice. Small hint of oak wood is behind. There is also small note of alcohol when beer gets warm. There is chocolate in taste as well, very nice, roasty and grain notes with small accent of noble alcohol, a bit sweet, at the finish. The alcohol burns a bit in the throat but in very nice way and after few sips you start to feel quite huge warm inside. Medium bitterness with roasty and alkoholic character, medium long but delicate. Anyway beer is oily, dense and despite this very delicate, smooth, really nice in generally. Beer is perfect for long, cold, winter evening.

Botella 33 cl en Cimmeria 25..01..2017. (r87). Lote 160904 hasta 09..2041. Color negro intenso brillante con poca espuma beige oscuro. Aromas y sabores a licores y maltas tostadas con caramelos tambien tostados. Ligeros regalices. Especias y algo de lactosas. Cuerpo medio a intenso buena sensación alcohólica alicorada en todo momento. Ligeras maderas empapadas en licor. Muy suave amargo algo tostado y ahumado. Bastante buena. Para repetir sin duda.

Pours black , good and bit darker head. Smell is intense, roasty. Full dark maltyness. Taste is full, intense, salty, in a way. ’drop’ as we say. Dark malts , very roasty. Mild smokey touch eve .

11.2 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out notes of soy sauce and kalamata olives -- bizarre nose. Flavour is quite a bit different, being very sweet, with notes of soy sauce, some cola, a little chocolate and minor roast. Sweet, but tastefully so, never cloying. Fairly thin on the style for the palate, but it's fitting. Booze is certainly apparent, giving a nice warming finish. Very nice.
