Bottle shared at the 2015 edition of the chriso Pre-GBBF tasting - London. Cheers! Pours black-brown with a creamy, beige head. Lots of dark malts in the nose, chocolate. Medium sweet flavour with ashy roast, chocolate, scorched earth. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, with lightly sticky chocolate, hard roast. Very good stuff.

Bottle at Pre-GBBF Shindig 2015. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The nose is rich roast, charred wood, chocolate cake, vanilla and bounty bar. The nose is bitter, big roasted malt, toasty, coffee, a touch of acidity upfront, berry skin, wood, leather, spice and a fair bit ash. Medium - full body and moderate carbonation. It doesn’t blow me away, but ’tis fine.

Very nice, even after the plead the fifth I just had. Pours black with good mocha head and lacing. Big roast, dark chocolate, some booze and a hint of orange peel even. Thick consistency. Tap at Local Option.
