Donkerbruin tot zwart bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitter en licht zoet met iets van koffie, wat rode bessen, rode wijn en bramen.

0.33 l bottle from 'Drankgigant.nl', bottled in August 2024. Black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Intensely sweetish-malty, slightly vinous-fruity and a bit roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, red wine, molasses and caramel. Heavily sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly roasty, gently vinous-fruity and a bit boozy taste of caramel, molasses, dark chocolate, coffee, raisins, red wine and light oak, followed by a long, gently roasty-bitter, slightly boozy and minimally woody finish. Full body, smooth and oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Great complex and well-balanced Eisbock, very rich and saturating, lovely winter warmer.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch, Enid Street, 18/12/24. Black with a lasting khaki cap, lacing ensues. Nose is dark malts, vinous strains, light herb, dried fruit rinds, touch of red grape must, chocolate sprinkle. Taste comprises dark malts, spice, red wine barrel evident, booze tunes, chocolate, vinous, red berry tang. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a balanced rising boost. Tidy sipper.

Tap at the Dutch bar bermondsey. A clear cola mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting fine light tan head. Aroma is salty spey side whiskey, light fruit must earthy dark roast,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded roast, mellow barrel funk, grape must, some whisky, earthy roast. Nice complexity for a straight up impy, complex barrel character. Well done.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch. Near opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Airy palate, fairly smooth, good fine minerally carbonation. Soft dark malts, a nice mellow chocolate with a touch of cappuccino. Moderate red wine on the finish. Nice beer, the red wine could be stronger.

Op tap bij Jopenkerk. Diep donkerbruine kleur, bijna bruine kraag. Rode wijn, eikenhout, geconfijte vruchtjes, vanille, caramel, donker fruit, rood fruit, licht gebrand, iets boozy. Veel smaak, mooi bier. Medium body.
