Gravity at Bree Louise. Dark golden brown colour, no head whatsoever. Smells very sugarry and a bit wheaty. Tastes a bit like very sugarry tea, or maybe even a Faro. Quiet slick in the mouth. Pint got a bit sickly, half might have been better. Couldn't get any kind of fruits which is a bit strange.

21th Feb 2012: Hand pulled pint in ‘The Raven’ Wellington, Shropshire. Good looking brew: clear amber/copper body the head a thick cream coloured affair. Not a lot going on in the nose: sweet, candy fruits but nothing beery. Bland and boring: malted biscuits with not much else in the taste. A little on the thin side too, the looks gave the impression of a rich, deep flavoured brew, this was misleading to say the least.

Cask at the Tilly Shilling (JDW), Farnborough. Copper with a thin cream head; sulphorous aroma; boring sweet biscuity malt flavour; then a biscuity finish with some shortlasting hops. A boringly ordinary beer.

Next to no aroma, and as bland and tasteless as you like. Poor effort from Marstons.

Cask handpull at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Deep gold amber colour. Lasting cream head. Wow what a dull bitter some tingle on tongue on end. Not much aroma not much flavour, vague Burton snatch i guess. Just watery and not great.
