Metropolis has been one of the the in-house favourites at Vibrant for a long time. We have infused this beer with loads and loads of big American citrus hops, the aroma is one of an IPA and the initial flavours are similar. The end, however, brings in slight chocolate flavours that dwell within the darkness of this grand beer. This is truly special. Enter the Metropolis.

Bottle from Eebria, consumed at home Friday 15th January 2016 Black or more accurately an extremely dark brown beer it’s actually (verging on black) a tad murky but with a creamy off-white bubbly head. Nice crunchy hops, good punch and with a good roasty underbelly. Juicy and good fruitiness, furry across the roof of the mouth. Great beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Citrusy and piney, hoppy aroma, chocolately, dark malty background, hints of grapefruit and mandarine, a zesty touch. Taste is moderately bitter and grassy hoppy, slightly piney and citrusy, dark malty background with notes of dark chocolate, some cocoa, fruity sweetness, hints of pineapple, orange, grapefruit, a zesty touch; minimally overcarbonated. A bit on the sweet side.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol, 27/7/2015. Near black with a decent, off-white, head. Aroma of sweetish berry fruits and orange, with some grassy hops. Flavour had thin, doughy, malts, more berry fruits and a full, dryish, finish. Good.
