[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] An amber pour with a thin cream coloured head; fruity malt aroma; bready malt body with some purple fruit; then a touch of herbal bitterness before a sweet fruity finish. Not bad.

Bottle from Stori. Appearance - golden amber with a proportionate white head. Nose - honey, caramel, brown bread. Taste - toffee and brown bread. A bit burnt on the finish. Palate - close to medium bodied, crunchy and roasty middle and finish. Overall - decent.

Cask @ Tap & Can. Pours hazed amber, off white topping. Aroma of leafy caramel, distant berry hints. Taste presents breezy light malt, dusty grain, gentle nutty shades.. others present got a distinct hoppy profile, but I got none of that. Easy-going bitter, but not a lot else.

Cask at the 2015 National Winter Ales Festival, The Roundhouse, Derby. Amber pour with a white head. Sweet fruit and malt aromas which segues nicely into the flavour. Quite dry. Not usually a fan of Six nation beers but this went down well. A very good ’try’ I must say.
