Draft pours clear gold with thick white head. Fruit flavors linger with dry slightly bitter finish. Nice ale!

Anything from Ommegang is worth a try, even an IPA, not their sweet spot style. This pint can was purchased at Mr. T's, my local beer shop. For this tasting I have a Buffalo Bayou tulip glass ready to receive the pour. The body is a yellow-gold liquid completed by a heavy head of snow white foam. Noticeably active carbonation. I have to say the scent is decent with juice, grass, some pine and tropical. And I have to comment that the taste is somewhat better than the nose. Grapefruit, an amount of pineapple sweetness, biscuit and an all right, concluding bitterness. A curve ball strike catching the outside corner.

Mostly clear golden and copper coloured body with a rather large, three centimetre tall tan head that fades very slowly and leaves a subtle lace on the sides. Aroma of grassy, herbal and fairly citrusey hops with a nice perceived bitterness in the nose and a kick of sugars here, too. Medium-bodied; Very bitter hoppiness shows at first with herbal and grassy notes front and centre along with a good malt backbone and some light caster sugar notes towards the end, that bring out some balance to help out with the bittering hops. Aftertaste shows a good range of flavours - from the relatively pungent and bitter grassy hops to the supportive and dry malts and finishing with the soft sugars, this beer has enough flavour and range for an IPA and to be nice, but is subdued enough to get down without a second thought. Overall, a nice enough IPA that doesn't have anything at all to do with New England, aside from being brewed in Poughkeepsie, doesn't show anything towards Imperial Status either - this is nice, but it's a pure East Coast 'regular' IPA and decent, but nothing more than that. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Wegman's [grocery] in Alexandria, Virginia on 13-November-2021 for US$1,99 (part of a mixed six pack) sampled at my house here in Washington on 24-November-2021.

Can, from Trader Joe's. Pours hazy dark yellow-orange with large foamy light beige head, orange peel aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter orange peel-tangerine taste, smooth thin body, long medium bitter finish. Well balanced IIPA.

Nice NEIPA, with a juicy front offering up pineapple, mandarin, peach, mango, and passion fruit, offset by a mild mineral bitterness and a modest yeasty streak on the finish. Nothing wrong with it, but I gotta be honest: I was hoping for something a little more inventive from Ommegang than a typical hazy IPA. I know, they gotta keep the lights on, but absolutely nothing about this pint says Ommegang. Good, just not what I wanted.

From a can.. this was good. Medium sweet, soft palate and a little pineapple flavor as well as mild hops.
