Pours hazy gold into a Sam glass. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Lemon and yeast aromas. Sweet hay and yeast upfront turning to bitter earth and lemon in the medium length finish.

The appearance has a hazy golden yellow colored body with a half finger’s worth of white foamy head that dies at a moderate pace leaving some clingy foamy lacing. Carbonation is seen rising fairly rapidly.
The smell is sweet yeasty with a decent amount of peppery spiciness that combines throughout the beer.
The taste has a nice sweet yeastiness enters in with the peppery spiciness that ends up having a sweet peppery aftertaste with the same finish.
The palate has a light to medium body, fairly sessionable, carbonation is good for the style and for me as there’s a moderate amount lightly hitting my mouth and tongue.
Overall, I say this is a solid saison that I’m glad I tried and will have no problem finishing off this sixpack.

From a can. OK, overall not too bad, does have this bright astringent bitterness but it all seems to be surrounded in good co2 fun. Odd mild aroma of wet farmhouse.

On tap at YardHouse, meridian. Hazy golden. Soapy off white head. Mild wheat malt aroma. Big time sharp slickness. Dry hopped with cardamom pods. Seriously !

2013 can at Tasty Burger, 1/16/14
Foamy, off-white head tops a clear deep bronze body. Moderate to low retention.
Thankfully it’s not a spicebomb in the nose, though nor is it particularly farmhousey. Sweet malts are somewhat tempered by the spices and light yeast phenols. Medium strength of aroma.
Bready, lightly citrusy and with pale malt sweetness that is moderately well-attenuated, the flavor is a pretty straightforward American-style saison, replete with an authentic and enjoyable cardamom flavor that isnt overdone. Aside from that, though, complexity is pretty low, with just some peppery phenols and a bit of hop bitterness. Moderate carbonation, lightly watery, soft-textured body with no alcohol noted.

Can. Pours a cloudy yellow with thick white head that lasts awhile leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong yeast, clove, and banana. Medium mouthfeel with light citrus and clove with light dry finish. Good.

At first taste, this seems closer to witbier/Berliner weisse, light and bubbly. some spice and floral notes. Lots of yeast, sourdough aspects to this. some light citrus on the palate, short finish.

12oz can pours a murky neon yellow with some thin, white head. Nose is all spice, coriander, keffir lime, but mostly just cardamom, a little herbal tea. Flavor has more balance, some malt, some straw, some grass, some lemon, a little herbal tea, but a ton of cardamom. Spicy, herbal finish. A bit too much spice for me.

Hazy golden coloured body with a large, three centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of spice, coriander seed, light bubble gum and heaps and heaps of yeast. Medium-bodied; Strong spicey characteristics up front with wheat, floral and perfumey hops and a bit of grass and herbs on the side. Aftertaste is dominant with yeast and the spicey coriander seed and white pepper notes of the belgian yeast - this is pungent. Overall, a relatively nice light-styled winter beer that shows some nice components of the yeast, but perhaps too much so. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia on 06-January-2014, courtesy of Kevin - Thanks!
