Can shared at Bruce’s 30th Birthday Bash - CBC Clerkenwell, London. Thanks to The Peter! Pours clearish yellow with a fine, white foam head. Herbal nose, lots of white bread and dough. Light to medium sweet flavor with more white bread, herbs, white sugar. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Clean finish, more herbs and white bread. Quite clean overall. Some grassy hop bitterness. Solid saison.

Can sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks zvikar. Slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of lemon, cardamon and yeast. Yeasty, citric and spicy flavor with some bitterness. Medium-bodied. Not good.

Draft @ The Ale House in Amesbury. Smells and tastes of yeast and citrus with spicy pepper. Body is light-medium with a strong, effervescent carbonation. Cardamom pods uh?? Herbal and Earthy hops linger throughout. A dry, spicy finish. An affordable option for saison in a can or on draft. Not amazing but decent. It will not blow you away but still some nice flavors.

Bruce’s Birthday Bash at the Craft Clerkenwell. Thanks to the old boy Bruce. Light haze on this gold beer. Little white head. Light dry palate. Airy. Mild fine carbonation. Pronounced herby character with a trace of citrus underneath. Dry finish with a little pine. Okay.

12 oz can. Pours cloudy yellow color with white head. Aromas of cardamom, orange peel, dough and spices. Similar flavors, overspiced for my liking. Medium body with lively carbonation.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a very pale yellow color with an enormous foamy white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was dryish egg whites, a touch of sulfur and citrus. The flavor was dry and chalky with notes of citric acid and Windex. Long dry chalk and Windex finish. Light to medium body. Not good.

Can at Bruce’s 30th celebrations, 08/02/13, thanks to Peter for sharing this one. Hazed pale golden with a thin white head that clears to bubbles at the edge. Nose is spice, herb, grass, lemon. Taste comprises pale malt, yeast, citrus, spice, a little less depth than the nose suggested. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, dry in the finish. Ok - drinkable stuff but far from being a great saison.
