Overripe lemon nose. Cloudy golden with a wisp of particulate running the full length down the center of the glass, medium head. Overripe lemon and cardamom, tangy., with a malty bitter finish.

Immense herbal aroma, thyme and sage. Clear yellow medium head, minimal lacing. Funky lemongrass flavor, umami thyme and sage . Slight sweetness at midpalate. Thyme.

12 oz can. Pours hazy pale yellow with a collapsing white head. Aroma is extremely fragrant--I get floral notes (cardamom?), fruit (melon), a hint of funk. Taste is lightly sweet, spicy (clove), a bit sour, savory and finishes dry and lightly bitter. Palate is a little thin. It’s tasty and interesting but it’s missing something.

From a can. Hazy yellow color. Some yeast and spice aroma. A little wheat in the flavor with more yeast, but this is a thin and watery saison, low in quality, complexity, and flavor.

12 ounce can from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a hazy straw color with a large pillowy white head. Bready aroma with notes of citrus, stone fruits, herbal notes. The taste is bready, spice, dough, spicy, herbal hops, mild fruits. Medium bodied, high carbonation, nicely balanced. Very nice beer. 6100th rating!

Served on draft at Beer Run as "Summer Saison." Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of ginger, clove, nutmeg, citrus and pale malts. Huge spice notes in the taste along with floral notes and pale malts. Medium bodied, lingering spice. Spice bomb... disappointing.

Clear golden color, medium white head. Aroma has lots of spice. Taste is spiced straw, fruit. I think the spice is trying to substitute for the saison character.

Tin. Hazy orange with thin white head. Aroma is spicy, lots of cardamom, some pepper in the aroma. Very full of cardamom, flavour seems little else. Back of the tongue finish

Can. This beer pours an ever so slightly hazy light gold with half a finger of white fizz and aromas of esters and slight funk. Kind of a spicy edge with a hint of barn. Flavor is less engaging though. It has a decent funk and spiciness to it, but it gets washed out by an almost cloying honey presence. The first split second of a sip is very interesting... Kind of peppery with a little barn and such, but then there is a tidal wave of honey and dough that buries most of the intrigue in a hit you over the head with a boring plot way.

Associated Supermarket, Bushwick sixer: Pours hazy light orange with a white head. Aroma is farmhouse funk, spice, and a bit of flowers. Taste is funky throughout. Slightly sweet, not really dry. Easily sessionably. Medium-light body. Good, but not great saison.
