The balanced, bitter and rich body of this wheat free golden ale offers you a beerified biscotti. Subtle British hops enhance the biscuity and almond flavour sensations.

Handpull cask at the Laurieston, Glasgow. Honey brown and a bit cloudy, with a thin film of white head. Biscuity aroma with some ginger and candied orange peel. Taste is bitter and strangely medicinal. An acrid note follows all the way to the finish. A poor example of a style that isn’t great to begin with.

Bottle from Drinkmonger. Hazy golden body with a white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of hay, honey and lavender. Flavour of grass and spicy hops. Medium body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. This doesn’t stand out from the crowd but it drinks easily.

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - floral and light toffee backdrop. Taste - toffee and floral honey. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a little sweet at the front for the style but good bitter finish.
