Bottle, 0.375l. Clear dark brown color with thin totally diminishing tan-like head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of raspberries, must, oak, vanilla and mild barnyard. Taste starts with tart raspberry and citrus, follows grainy, woody and by mild fruity sweetness, mouthfeel is spicy, while no bitterness present. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Raspberry fields forever...

Level 42 Bottleshare and no Mark King in sight. Thanks to Matteo. Hazy reddish amber beer, patchy peachy cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry. Good fine carbonation. Medium tart berry fruits. A little spice. Some lemon acid creeping in. Light dry finish. Fine.

375 ml bottle from Firma Bier, bottled November 2015. Thanks to Werckmeister!
Dark ruby body, with a big, frothy, a bit fizzy, lacing, pink head.
Amazing nose with loads of raspberries and other berries, cherries, barnyard, young cheese, earth.
Taste is also very lovely, with lots of sour raspberries, medium funk, sour apples, citrus, oak, some cheese, some wine, some vinegar.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes acidic, medium funky, medium dry, fruity, with some oak and lots of lingering raspberries, that stay on the tongue forever.
Delicious! One of the most raspberry-forward sour ales I’ve had so far, bursting of a complex fruitiness. Greatly balanced, very aromatic, but also quite easy drinking, the ABV is completely hidden. Among my favourite beers by this brewery, close to my perfect sour fruit ale.

Bottle at home picked up at Beer Gonzo webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry, consumed Wednesday 21st September 2016. Deep red in colour with a large billowing pink head. Fresh, zingy nose the raspberry really apparent. Really juicy in the mouth, I have to say this doesn’t taste like an 8% or 9% beer or whatever strength this is. Not so very different from a Belgian fruity Lambic in some respects, the tart sourness is there, the oakiness is there, it’s a little funky and I guess that is the key difference a little funky but not a lot. I liked this not perhaps as much as I’d hoped, but it’s good. A7 A5 T8 P4 Ov14 3.8
