Cask at the George JDW in Croydon. Pours black with a off white head. Chocolate, roast malt and a little treacle in the aroma. Taste is a burst of roast malt, the a bitter happiness, chocolate and a little spice. A decent porter

Cask (gravity) @ 31th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2014, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England. [ As Burning Sky Porter ].Clear dark black brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, light burnt, light to moderate hoppy, grapefruit, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, roasted, fruity hops, licorice hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. IMO: CDA ;) [20141205]

Cask @Londinium Cask Festival, Tree Folk’s Pub (Rome). Pours brown/reddish with a medium and persistent off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, mocha, light vanilla, nice and gentle. Flavour is well balanced, medium malt profile with a good bitter end, coffee in the aftertaste. Light body, drinkable, soft carbonation. Refined.

Cask. Shakespeare’s, Sheffield. Clear, very dark, copper red. Bubbly, lasting, light tan head. Nose has soft, vanilla, coffee malts. Some vine fruit tang. Notes of cocoa, maybe. Taste is fruity, vinous, sweet. Some dryness. Decent mouthfeel. Fairly smooth. Fruity, tangy, soft bitter finish. Very drinkable, tasty porter.

Aroma - Roast nose, some burnt notes
Taste of roasted malts, toasted cereal, dark malts, earthy roast, bit burnt for me
Palate - Medium body, bitter dry roast. Finish of dry roast.
Overall - I wanted a bit more dark malt sweetness in there to offset the burnt roast

Cask@Pelt Trader, City, London (30/11/2015) - pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma and taste is toasty and medium roasted malty, with notes of cocoa, coffee, and some toffee like sweetness, char and burnt malty nuances, smooth finish.

Cask at the Euston Tap - London. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head. Lots of well toasted malts in the nose, with touches of cocoa. Light-medium sweet flavor with staunch ashy roast, bittersweet chocolate, gritty earthy bitterness, light iodine and dark, dried out berries. Medium bodied, silky, with fine carbonation. Finishes with lingering ashy roast, restrained cocoa, leathery dark fruits, mellow salt, earth, burnt wood. Not bad.
