Cloudy, medium head, light tan. Massive cardamom nose, but with a nice pale malt signature. On the palate, similar. The pale malt base is really nice. Not nuts about the yeast. It’s overly phenolic to me. But the cardamom is a lot of fun and it’s definitely supported by a great malt character.

4 oz. taster at the source. Appearance is bright yellow/ gold. Aroma is mild citrus with bolder Cardamom. Flavor is pretty balanced with sweet citrus and spice. Almost a pepper yeast hint. Zesty finish. Borderline to zesty for me but good.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a clear deep gold body that has thin copper hues and supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up inviting tangelo juice as well as lime, lemon and a faint yeasty spiciness. The taste delivers smooth mildly juicy tangelo citrus and then more bitter notes of lemon and lime. To midway it picks up some mild yeasty spice and a sense of the sweet malt base. This is a pretty solid saison where the modest tangelo bite doesn’t allow the Saison sweetness to get in the way.

Noe vegatalt i avslutningen. Slank og meget lett å helle i strupen. En god sasion.
