Cask gravity at Pigs Ear 2014. Slight haze amber thin white head. Decent apa. Its got the grapefruit hop. Its got some backbone malt which has some sweet biscuit. Some bitterness. The finish is excellent with a buscuit malt hop flower flavour. Better on the end than in the mouth. But that finiah is to die for.

Cask at teh Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Bright amber with a loose white head; slightly subdued tropical fruit aroma; syrupy and full in the mouth, with some mango fruit; and a lasting grapefruit bitterness. A well-made IPA, here’s to the next 10 years.

Cask gravity at Wallington. It pours clear golden orange with a medium white head. The nose is fresh, orange, tangerine, straw, grainy and light sulphur. The taste is smooth, crisp, bitter, straw, citrus peel, tangerine, marmalade, waxand pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit eggy on the nose unfortunately. Quaffable enough though.

Cask at the William Webb Ellis, Twickerooney, 12/09/14. Golden with a moderate off white covering that dissipates and retains, good lacing ensues. Nose is light floral hop, orange, caramel, touch of spice, bread dough. Taste comprises caramel, more bready notes, bitter orange, straw, candied fruit peel, no discernable hop presence that you would associate with an IPA. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with bitter notes shining through. An adequate ESB for this Bois.
