This unique version of our monstrous Yeti Imperial Stout is aged for at least twelve months in whiskey barrels. The spirited aging process produces a hugely complex but mellowed Yeti, with its signature roasted flavors, hints of vanilla and oak, and a whiskeyed finish.

Black with a dark beige head. Powerful dark malts, chocolate, whiskey, licorice, burnt malt. Slick and thick. Bold throughout. Very well done.

Heavy flavor is more elusive in this version like, well, bigfoot... Whiskey overrides lots of subtlety. Roast and vamilla here, some dark chocolate. Black pour with good head and lacing. Bitter finish with booze. Tap at Barrel tap room.

(Sample from a bottle at RBESG 2017 Grand Tasting - thanks VastActiv) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, vanilla and vineousness. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, vanilla, cocoa, dark chocolate and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, woody and bitter. A tasty barrel aged brew that hid its high ABV rather well.
