This unique version of our monstrous Yeti Imperial Stout is aged for at least twelve months in whiskey barrels. The spirited aging process produces a hugely complex but mellowed Yeti, with its signature roasted flavors, hints of vanilla and oak, and a whiskeyed finish.

8 3 8 4 17 Bottle shared at RBESG Grand Tasting ’17 at Sori brewery. 10.4%. Near black with a ring beige head. Aroma of whiskey barrel, oak, chocolate, vanilla, toffee and malt. Flavour is light heavy sweet. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

From a 75 cl bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of bourbon, oak and dark pit fruits. Flavors of plums, licorice and chocolate. Wow. Complex flavors, all good.

Pours black, good grey head. smell is sharp bourbon. taste is sharp, bit sour, very mild though. oak, sharp bourbon. Very balanced still. Probably not ment to be a bit sour, but IF it is infection, it’s in a very subtile way. Roasted malts. Creamy mouthfeel. Light carbo. not bad at all!

Bottle @ ZZT 2016-1. Black oily pour. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, whiskey and roasted creamy malt. Rich flavor of soft chocolate, whiskey, vanilla, red fruit, creamy roasted malt and a long evolving finish. This is fantastic.

Bottle @ ZZT 2016-1, small sample. Thanks all for sharing! Dark color, medium frothy head. Aroma of loads of chocolate, cookie, vanilla, bourbon. Bit coconut even. Cookie and vanilla sweetness, slight bourbon booze. Great power, balance and complexity. Absolutely delicious.

Thank you DutchDrebus! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ ZZT 2016-1. 2015 Vintage. Black super creamy mocha bubbles. Nose is warming molasses, sugar, low bourbon, whisky, sugar, faintly herbal. Taste is chocolate syrup, bit too boozy, booze going to bit plastic, roast, chocolate, brown sugar,… thick malt. Good but a bit too messy & boozy for me. I liked but not as intensely as the others did.

Jet black colour, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, vanilla, cacao, alcohol. Sweet flavour, cacao, booze, brown sugar. Quite thick. Sweet finish, vanilla. Nice!

Bottle @ ZZT 2016-1. Black colour with a small off-white head. Smells roasty, chocolate. Tastes lovely. Roasty, chocolate, deep. Full body, soft carbo.
