This beer greets you with a silky head and an aroma that evokes the sweetness of milk chocolate. The flavor profile is velvety, mellow, and balanced. Each sip reveals layers of roasted malts with rich chocolate notes, implied sweetness of vanilla, subtle roastiness of coffee, and the smooth softness of wheat. Fenugreek ties flavours together, imparting a gentle nuttiness that enriches the beer's complexity.
Contains: barley, oat and wheat malt.

20 June 2025. “Iets voor den Erwin” @ Dracuna. Cheers to the whole GBV crew!
White chocolate, meringue, chocolate sauce, dark fudge, cappuccino, mocha biscuit. Sweetish chocolate, mocha & biscuit, bit toasty, vanilla. Very malty finish with vague earthy hops, coffee and warming coffee liqueur-like alcohol. Medium body, thin oily texture, soft carbonation. Expected a bit more punch here, but Pühaste proving their skill at the style once again.

330 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of sweet oats, vanilla, a bit of dark chocolate and roasted malts. Flavors of honey, chocolate, sweet coffee, vanilla and oily roasted malts. Very tasty, and good for the ABV.

Strong flavoured stout from one of Estonia's postmodern craft beer pioneers, shared by Craftmember on New Year's Eve. Mocha-beige, moussey, medium sized, opening head on a black(ish) robe with thin burgundy edges. Aroma of toffee, caramel sauce, dark chocolate, vanilla indeed (added), pecan bread, granola, mocha ice cream, dried coconut flakes, brandy and indeed a whiff of fenugreek passing by - recognisably if you are familiar with this aroma, but nowhere near dominant, not even too obvious. Densely 'candied' onset, candied fig and golden raisin, not too sticky though, with a fried apple-ish accent; softish carb, very full and oily mouthfeel. Thick toffeeish and dark-chocolatey malts, bittersweet but more sweet than bitter, with pronounced retronasal vanilla which actually fits in well - of course this ingredient has become all too familiar in strong stouts nowadays, but then there is the fenugreek (seed, I guess) piercing through subtly as well, with its typical herbal character that does not clash too much with the whole (oddly - I was expecting the opposite). Cappuccino-ish bitter elements and warming brandy-like alcohol further dominate the finish, when this fenugreek effect is already long gone. I highly doubt if I ever came across fenugreek as an added flavouring in beer so far - I do not remember one by heart anyway - and was not expecting it to work well in this type of beer, but I must admit that Pühaste did a fine job here, probably partially by keeping its effect at bay and restricting it to the background...

Magus, mõru, röst, tugev šokolaad, linnaseline, karbunn on kõrge, alks, suhkur, kerge nisu äkki. Ok, veits liiga lääge minu jaoks.
