Tap at Malto, Riccione, Italy. Pours a beautiful reddish dark brown, with fine cream foam. Aroma is malty and caramel, moderate. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is moderately sweet, less than the standard bock. Final is average.

Short 0,33 l bottle. BB 01.12.2023. Dark brown in the glass with a nearly two finger pale beige head in the glass. Looks good. Low malty aroma. Taste is malty, some choco, nuts, bready, toffee. Less fruity than expected. Long lasting aftertaste.

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home with Nick, Anna Charlie and Sarah, Monday 23rd January 2023 listening to 6Music - Cacti. We are cooking homemade burgers with a salad. Pours clear chestnut brown with a light ruby glint and a disappointing off white head that couldn't be bothered hanging around. The nose is as expected, mostly with a little dried fruit. Taste is also malty and again dried fruits show up, a little dark bread, not overly complicated, nice moutheel but all told, this is a lower mid table effort and isn't going to threaten the playoffs.

Optisch klar, dunkel kupferfarben bis mittelbraun mit orangefarbenen Reflexen. Feine Perlage steigt hoch. Die cremefarbene, feinporige Schaumkrone wirkt fast cremig, zeigt sich flaumig-stabil und hält sich sehr gut. Die Duftaromatik gestaltet sich relativ einfach, aber okay. Leichte Dörrobstnoten mit einem holzigen Unterton. Der weichspritzige Antrunk mit einer süßlich-fruchtig-röstigen Aromatik erinnert an dunkle Brotrinde und lässt auf eine kräftige Aromatik hoffen. Am Gaumen bestätigt sich diese Annahme. Leicht süß, angenehm röstig, leichte Aromen von Dörrobst, Kirsche, Pflaume. Gesamt gesehen durchaus gut, aber gar nicht mal so komplex, wie man es vielleicht erwarten würde. Mundgefühl und Süffigkeit sind bei einem Bock immer so eine Sache... irgendwo zwischen okay und gebremst... Im Nachtrunk wird es anfangs reiffruchtig, erinnert an sehr dunkle Kirsche oder gar Rumkirsche, flacht langsam ab und geht in eine leichte süßherbe Nussigkeit über. Fazit: Haut einem nicht vom Hocker, aber kann man schon mal nehmen.

Mein Schnitzlbaumer Bock hatte keinen Titel Bernardus, aber es war eindeutig das gleiche Bier. Es war gut fruchig und knallrot und hatte einen deutliche Karamellnote, allerdings war es ein brutales Alkoholbier, das ich nach den ersten Schlucken schon im Kopf spürte. Für Freunde von starken, fruchtigen Böcken sicher ein Genuss. mir war es zu stark (Ich habe schon Angst vor dem Doppelbock).

Schnitzlbaumer Bernhardus Bock, Fläschchen aus dem Fastenzeit-Bierpaket vom Biershop Bayern. - Dunkles Mahagoni, klar; schöner Schaum. - In der Nase gedämpftes, sattes dunkles Malz, dezente Bitterschokolade, milde süße Banane. - Antrunk satt dunkelmalzig mit runden Röstaromen, Milchschokolade, Rosinen, Nuß und Geleebanane, eingebettet in angenehm karamellige Süße. Mild rezent, vollmundig schwer, malzweich. Im Abgang ein wenig dünn und flau mit arg knapper Herbe. - Schön dunkelmalziger aber zu knapp gehopfter Bock.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, brown colour with a beige and diminishing frothy head. Slightly nutty dark malty aroma with notes of caramel, molasses and a whiff of dried fruits. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Dark malt character with nutty notes, caramel, toasted grains; moderately sweet dark malty and slightly nutty finish with a tinge of alcohol at the very end. Still a decent dark Bock. 11.VII.16

Bottle (otto holt koks): Clear, ruby-amber coloured, small off-white head, sweet dark-malty nose with some nutty and also fruity spots; moderate sweet flavour, delicate bitterness, medium bodied, a bit fizzy; lingering, drier and more bitter finish with dried fruits, dark malt and even chocolate. Well crafted bavarian pivo...
