The Blonde de Monaco is a high fermentation Pils respecting the law of beer mashing (Reinheitsgebot): only organic malts, hops and yeasts are combined thanks to the know-how of our Master Brewer. This traditional beer reveals the fine and peppery bitterness of German and Alsatian hops thanks to a slow fermentation process and maturation in vats for more than 3 weeks.

On tap at La Pampa in Monaco old town overlooking the Place du Palais. On the board as Blonde "Bio". Poured a cloudy gold/pale orange with a lasting white head. Aroma of wheat, lemon and grass. High level of bitterness with a an underlying sweetness. Light body, texture sticky, average carbonation. Initially seemed too bitter (though this beer followed their Blanche which was much sweeter) but took to this more as the sweetness started to come more to the fore to balance.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color topped with decent white head. Mild malty aroma easy to pick up. Balanced body, very drinkable and refreshing with nice bittery finish. Very enjoyable.

On tap at the Brasserie. Hazy yellowish with a small white head. Aroma of malt, grain, light grass and some yeast. Similar taste. Easy to drink. Nothing special with this one.

Classed as their ’Pils’ on the brewpub menus, this is a cloudy golden beer with a good white head and obviously unfiltered. 0.3 Litre, tall glass sat outside in bright sunshine on 18th Sep 2013. The aroma had citrus notes in it, lemon mostly, with a yeast smell in the background. The taste was also semi-citrus and again with a background of yeast flavouring, some malt sweetness as the beer warmed in the sun: refreshing and not too bad.

Draft. An unclear amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of brewmash, malt, and minerals. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and oranges, leading to a dry hay-like finish.

Fra kran på bryggeripuben 14 Okt 12. Gyldenbrun. Raskt dalende skum som blir helt borte. Litt henger igjen på glasset. Forsiktig maltaroma. Smaken er papp. Tilløp til syrlighet i ettersmaken.

On tap @ the brewpub as Pils. Hazy orange body with a white head. Light aroma with some fruity yeast. Light and refreshing flavor, fruity. I can’t believe this is supposed to be a pilsner, it’s more like a blond. A quite nice blond actually, light floral in flavor with mild citric hops. A nice thirst-quencher anyway.

Aka "Pils". Hazy orange color, good creamy off-white head. Bready, worty and hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Bready with citrusy hoppyness, cereals and a bit sweet finish. Typical brewpub pils but as it is unfiltered it has some character.
