Can. 5.4% version. Near clear orange beer, patchy bubbly white head. Light palate, fairly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin malts, a modest sweetness, some grain. Slightly pithy hops, ripe orange. Crisp and fairly dry finish. Not doing much for me.

Can from Drinkmonger Pitlochry. It pours clear golden with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is sappy, sticky, resinous, orange marmalade, peachy, passion fruit and a touch green. The taste is firmly dry, rather bitter, sappy, resinous, chewy, grainy, pithy, zesty, orange peel, bitter lemon, touch green, weedy, leafy, peppery spice and just a touch of alcohol with a drying, woody finish. Average body and fine carbonation. Nice elements, but comes across a touch rough.

Can from Drinkmonger. Deep golden body with a light haze and a white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange and peach. Flavour of boiled orange sweets and bitter hops. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A solid example of the style.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Cork & Cask. Pours clear honey-gold with a creamy, white head. Lightly sweet, quite dry, bit of ashtray, vinyl, chlorophenols, pine needles. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more off ashy notes, dry pale malts. Not quite right.
