Bottle from the brewery. Hazy amber pour with a thin white head. Tangerine, peach and grapefruit aroma. Orange peel and grapefruit flavour. Fruity little number. Bitter fruit finish. Nice.

bottle@The folks place - pours a slightly fuzzy golden colour and puffy white head. Citrus, floral hoppy taste and aroma, mandarin, lemon, and nicely balanced bitter finish. Beautiful.

Hazy amber beer with a tidy white head. Smooth palate, semi dry with fine carbonation. Smooth dry malt, light. Touch of cream. Hops start lightly skunky then flroalness and a good dose of bitterness that resolves in to yellow grapefruit. Very light tropical fruits before the end and a touch of minty coolness. Finishes dry with a medium bitter linger. Complex light and tasty.

Bottle at home in London - picked up from the brewery. Pours lightly hazy, deep gold with a moderate, frothy white head. The nelson is all over the aroma; it’s great. Loads of piss, some grapefruit. The flavor follows nicely - more pee, mild tangerine, orange, grapefruit, balancing pale malt sweetness. The malt profile is a bit more subdued in this iteration of the Golden Ale compared to its predecessors. It makes the beer a bit cleaner and dryer and, ultimately for me, more quaffable. Light bodied with average, spritely carbonation. Clean and crisp on the finish with mild flinty minerals, dry grapefruit, modest citrus rind, piss, subtle pine needles. Great stuff. One of the best pale ales I’ve had from BBNo.
