Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Light fizz. Bright and bitter. Verdant’s west coast IPAs are getting better.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingmane, 16/012/22. Hazed orange with a good sized just off white head that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is orange zest, grass, melon, soft malts, pine nip. Taste comprises orange pith, grass, pine needle, ripe melon, grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close spiked with balanced juicy come grassy hop bitterness. Decent clean drinking IPA ... delivers the WC vibe.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from The Experiment. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white topping. Gorgeous stuff, light-medium sweet, lean pale malts, light piney bitterness, some peach, tangerine, pale bread. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Subtly resinous finish, more crisp pale malts, a nip of alcohol, citrus, pine, melon, a little pithy grapefruit. Wildly drinkable.
