Can at home in Hackney - picked up at Clapton Craft. Pours deep brown with a creamy, tan head. Novel stuff, pretty well executed, definitely lots of fennel, some chocolate, mellow roast, a little alcohol, citrus peel. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, a little sticky sweet, some ashy bitterness, orange zest, licorice, cocoa. Interesting stuff.

0,33 boks delt med Steven aug-19: brunsvart med hint av oransje og et fint skum. En fyldig og smaksrik stout for de som har sans for sterk lakris. Appelsiner, vanilje og lactose i bakgrunnen.

Can split at L6 tasting, thanks to Danny Boyo, 23/05/19. Light black with a tan covering. Nose is chocolate biscuit, fennel seed, mellow roast, spice, liquorice. Taste comprises cocoa powder, herb, candied orange peel, mellow roast, light black peppery spice. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Lower end impy … passable sipper but the ingredients don't really pull together that well.

Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to Dan for the can. Semi opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Light palate, mildly dry, modest fine carbonation. A ton of fennel dominates the thin dark malts, tangy and bitter. Little Terry's choccy orange. Light finish. Overdone fennel. Becomes hard to drink.

330ml can from Beer Ambleside in Cockermouth, Cumbria - Jet black body, thick lasting head. Nose gets the citrus of the orange, with the usual bitter roast notes. Taste heavy upfront with aniseed. Yep.
