Slightly hazy / dull gold with a frothy / creamy white head and a fruity, hoppy aroma. Light bodied, soft cereal malt, big hop bitterness, fruity notes and a dry bitter finish.

Cask @ King’s Head, Huddersfield. Clear golden with a creamy head. Hoppy session ale, very palatable, very easy-drinking.

Clear amber beer. Barely any aroma. There’s not a lot of taste either. Bit of malt, light fruit. Not much though and little aftertaste. Just...... weak.

Cask at the Brewhouse, Sheffield. Light brown, pretty much clear with tight white head. Very little Roma: a bit of tea, cereal and biscuit, but it is very muted. Taste is basic bittersweet with a slight increase of bitterness in the finish. Almost comp,Ethel’s devoid of personality, but it’s a decent enough drink in its own way.

Cask at Trip to Jerusalem, Nottingham. Clear gold. White head. Green hop. Apple. Light bready. Taste is dry and light bitter. Sharp palate. Not memorable.

4.4% Cask gravity at Red Lion Snargate. Ok slightly acetic bitter. Its not a great beer some hop sting on end. Finishes better than it starts.

On cask @ Three Tuns, Dronfield - A nice golden body, decent lacing white head, citrus hoppy nose. Lots of hops on the first bite, carries through to the finish, with a pleasant bitterness throughout. A very nice crisp beer.
