330ml bottle from Ales by Mail

Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of soapy fruity notes, malts and sweet notes. Taste is fruity, juicy and slightly grainy with some soapy notes and hints of caramely malts. Finish is crisp, juicy and perhaps a bit musty fruity with some bitterness and malty notes. Okay, slightly musty IPA.

330ml bottle. Hazy amber colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Piney, resinous hop aroma, hints of chewing gum, caramel malty basis. Taste is dry, piney hoppy, some resin, a touch of honey, hints of chewing gum, robust, minimally sweet caramel malty basis; minimally tart, bitter finish, minimally sticky palate. A Simcoe festival.

Bottle at home, 5th July, 2013. Beautiful simcoe hop, may be my favourite. This is a good IPA, very drinkable, like the IPAs from this one. Decent beer

Bottle at JF’s, from Utobeer, 09/06/13. Lightly hazed golden with a big off white head. Nose is fresh hops, light pine, mineral notes, orange sherbet, grapefruit. Taste comprises juicy hops, bitter grapefruit, orange pith, light mineral notes, tropical goodness sealed in a bottle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the finish. Solid IPA - the best yet for me from Partizans pale spectrum.

Hazy mid-amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is crisp. Minerals. Fresh orange and orange peel hops. Touch of pink grapefruit and a whisper of passion fruit. Finishes smooth with mild bitterness. Super fresh and super drinkable. Lovely!

Bottle from the brewery drunk at home. Now I love Simcoe and I can smell this beer already as it sits in the glass. Good intense Simcoe aroma. Quite sticky in the mouth quite full as Simcoe tends to be and the malts are just right to carry that gorgeous pink grapefruit resiny cat pee woody flavour. OK bitterness on finish. Not harsh. Just a lovely vehicle to deliver Simcoe into my body. Stupidly moreish. The glass lasted less than the 3 minutes 40 seconds it took me to heat up my dinner in the microwave. Lovely.

Bottle from Partizan. It pours lightly hazy amber with a medium beige head. The nose is big on the pine, orange, over-ripe mango, diet Irn Bru and candle wax. The taste is bitter orange, grapefruit, orange sponge cake, pine, resinous, oily hop and some more diet Irn Bru with a rather bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A touch sickly on the nose, but pretty tasty.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours lightly hazed gold with a creamy, off-white head. Nose holds pine needles, semi-ripe orange, some grapefruit. Medium sweet flavor, some sticky citrus fruits, a bit of randy bitterness, some pine needles. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sticky and resinous pine in the ending, pithy citrus, orange, tangerine and grapefruit, moderately sweet pale malts, faint grass. A very solid, very drinkable IPA.
