Bottle at home, 19th January 2012. Aroma is delicious, pours to form a small head. Palate is good, taste is light and refreshing, I prefer some of the other pale ales from Kernel and being more used to their IPAs this felt a little light, but this would put it in line with the style

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Thanks to Nate. Pours hazy amber with a small, white head. Aroma holds pine, orange and wood. Great flavor, some tangy citrus bitters, light toasty malts, some tangerine and pine sap. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly sticky, dry and resinous finish, light sugars, some woody pine, citrus. Excellent beer. Seems to be a bit heavier in body than other Kernel Pale Ales, which is a nice change of pace. Very, very drinkable.

Very hazy amber beer, little white head. Light palate, semi dry. Modearate carbonation. The Nelson here is quite light and and slightly grapey. Mild sherbet tangerine and lemon and then some pronounced starfruit! Dry finish with a mildy bitter aftertaste. Interesting and tasty. Wonder what the unknown hop was? Something NZ I bet!

Bottle at the Kernel Brewery, the "X" denotes a mystery hop. It pours deep orange, with a decent bubbly white head. The nose is pine, orange sherbet, tangerine and orange squash. The taste is pine, light resin, orange pith, sweet tangerine, orange sherbet and squash, with a dry, citric finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Very juicy and refreshing.
