As ’East Beach India Pale Ale’ 6.5%, apart from ’Coast’ changing to ’Beach’ - label is identical. Light haze on this pale gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Light palate, thin feeling. Decent fine minerally carbonation. Very light malts, mildly sweet. Light tropical fruits, trace of melon. Mild orange and pith. Light finish. Decent IPA but quite thin.

Bottle from the brewery. Hazy amber. Thin, filmy, sticky, just off white head. Sweet, jammy malt. Brûléed grapefruit. Fresh pineapple. Light, ginger spiciness. Very biscuity. Taste is jammy sweet first off. Some of that spicy dryness, before a bosh of grapefruit bitterness. Palate is oily and greasy thick, emphasised by the soft carbonation. Finish is soft toffee sweet, with a citric, fruity bitterness that rises and lingers. Big, tasty, and delicious. I like Poppyland beers a lot. This is their best yet.
