Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Figs & Grain. Pours clear yellow-gold with a soft, fluffy, pure white head. Just more than lightly sweet, gorgeous subtle piney character, nips of grass, citrus peel, pale bread, a nip of fresh minerality. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Ideal balance in the finish, more lightly resinous pine, citrus rind, supportive pale malts. Unbelievably drinkable. Stellar.

Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Moderate haze on a pale gold. Quite glorious Kernel swede. Nose has rind and pith of fleshy orange. Creamy malt. Whiff of Sabro esque coconut, weirdly. Taste has an initial creamy sweetness before turning pithy, crisp rindy bitter. Smooth and clean. High-ish foamy carbonation. Lingering bitterness to finish. A tad out of the ordinary and high on the quality.

Bottle at home, picked up from Mother Arch, 30/07/22. Moderately hazed orange golden with a decent lasting cream cap. Nose is ripe citric flesh, pine needle, light dank spike, lime leaf, stoned fruits, would have guessed Nelson. Taste comprises bitter orange, grass, pine needle, citric tinged straw, stoned fruit esters, grapefruit zest. Medium bodied, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close spiked with resinous come lightly juiced hop bitterness. Solid punchy pale ... I've always believed and still do that Kernel beers are better in bottle than on tap!
