Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Figs & Grain. Pours mostly clear yellow-gold with a soft, creamy white topping. Lightly sweet with mellow pithy citrus notes, some mild grapefruit, lemon rind, nips of grass and pine needles, some melon, relaxed bitterness. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Balanced finish, perfect amount of bitterness, background pale malts, further citrus notes. Slightly more juicy than your typical Table Beer. Just about flawless overall. I will appease Cloin with my score here.

Bottle at home, picked up from Mother Arch, 30/07/22. Hazed orange with a good sized just off white cap that stays for the show. Nose is pissy Nelson, tangerine, grass, guava, stoned fruits, ripe melon. Taste comprises lychee, stoned fruits, more pissy Nelson strokes, melon, soft malts, light skunky undertones. Medium bodied, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close spliced with lightly resinous Nelson laden hop bitterness. Solid flavoursome low boost hops ... so crushable ... if LKS doesn't hit 4.5+ I'm a monkeys uncle!

I didn’t think we rated any Kernel if the hops weren’t on the front, but a better man than me has rated it, so I will too. Got this online from the source. Straw gold. Light haze. Beautiful Kernel swede. Nose has grapefruit pith and underripe pineapple. Light mineral. Some dry biscuit. Hint of cedar. Taste is clean, pithy bitter. Trace of sweetness. Bright and lively on the palate. Crisp fizz. Lingering crisp bitterness to finish. Lovely.

Bottle direct from The Kernel. It pours lightly hazy bright yellow - gold with a thick, fluffy lasting head The aroma is fresh, clean and bright, fluffy malt character, soft bread, zing lemon - lime vibes and a touch of gooseberry / white grape. The taste is dry, restrained but firm bitterness, clean and fresh, touch of grass, nip of pine, airy malts, light bread, pithy, zesty, lemon - lime and gooseberry with a dry finish. Light to medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Flavourful, yet soft. Balanced and moreish. Quenching stuff.
