Sampled on tap at Trail's End. Pours black, with a medium, bubbly, tan head. Cola aroma with some chocolate, black pepper, light earth, and rye. Sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, with a syrupy, smooth mouthfeel. This is a pretty nice, mild porter.

Pours black with a dirty tan head that disappears mid-session. Strong roasted notes ladened with coffee greet the nose. Taste remains steady throughout with a rich, understated bitterness. Palate is thick and sticky. Mild carbonation. A very solid porter. Re-rating 04/17. Not as thick as I rembered. Carbonation moderate rather than mild, and a head more frothy than creamy. Overall rating unchanged.

Draft at the source. Deep brown with slight white head. Aroma is deep coffee grounds, roasted barley, ashy malt. The body is leaning on full and even at 6.5 percent is nearly stout like. All the correct flavors. This is a nice mild example of a Blatic Porter. Nice.
