Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Black with a creamy off-white head. Smooth tasting with a milky roasted malt aroma and taste. Some coffee evident.

Fra fat pƄ Furnace i Derby 18 Feb 16. Delt med Rune. Svart. Lavt mokkafarget skum. Tynn lacing. Utmerket sjokoladearoma. Smaken litt metallisk. Kaffe. Avslutninga er melkesjokolade.

Cask at Amersham beer shop, Amersham, Bucks. A black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes similar, roasty, malty, chocolate, some dark fruit. Easy drinking stout from Shiny.

Cask at the Craft Beer Shop, Amersham, 19/12/15. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is rich roast, chocolate, charr, dark malt, liquorice. Taste comprises light cocoa powder, toffee, dark fruit rinds, raisens. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok if a little thin in places.

So I ordered a Shiny Wench, but the barman gave me this. Opaque maroon brown color, beige head. Nice coffee and cocoa powder aroma. Taste has chocolate and espresso, bitter finish. Tasty.

Cask (gravity) @ Nottingham Robin Hood Beer Festival (2014), Nottingham Castle, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EL. [ As Shiny Wrench ].Clear dark brown color with a average, open and frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, sweet malt, roasted, dark roasted, chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, roasted, chocolate, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141009]

Keg at The Furnace, Saturday 25th July 2015 Pours black with a very creamy white head. Roasty and creamy with a bit of spent coffee grains. A bit of dark fruit, some dates and actually reasonably hoppy. Like it, glad I went for keg as opposed to cask. A6 A5 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5

500ml bottle from Hopology, Nottingham. Deep almost black colour with a tan head aroma has chocolate, malt and a touch of coffee. Taste is mid sweet to a smoky bitter finish.

Cask at Tap East. Black beer lasting tan head. Chocolate coffee aroma. Not much condition. Dark chocolate. Quite a nice stout. Dry roast so stouty but chocolate so portery. Nice
