Black with quick fading head. Aroma has hints of dark chocolate. Flavour has a touch of coffee. Nice texture, a bit oily.

Backlog January 2016. Clear dark brown, almost black body under a dense beige head. Very nice aroma, dark malt, chocolate, expresso coffee. Taste is a disappointment after promising aroma, same elements as malt, chocolate and coffee, but weak and thin. Medium body and short aftertaste.

No head. Clear black pour. Chocolate and coffee in the aftertaste.

Bottle, small bubbly head, opaque very deep brown color, aroma of nuts, prunes,dark bread and chocolate, flavor of chooclate, nuts, prunes and a whiff of charred wood, medium very pleasant sweetness, very light bitterness. Smooth and satisfying.

Smooth mild caramelly beginning. Roast, mild chocolate. No real bitterness, very round and smooth. Long smooth espresso-milkchocolate aftertaste. Very nice and not too sweetish or dry.

Cask at Henry Addington. It pours black with a small light tan head. The aroma is rich, sweet chocolate cake, roasted malt, tobacco, charred wood and smoke. The taste is bitter - sweet, toasty malts, treacle, chocolate, tangy dark fruits, jammy, cola and dull charred smoke with a soft, fruity finish. Light - medium body and soft carbonation. There may bit too much tang on taste for my liking. Not so bad anyhow. Drinks easy.

Cask @ Old Wellington, Manchester. Black with a small off-white creamy head. Has milky light roasted malts in both aroma and taste. Smooth and very easy-supping.
