After rocking the scene of the Brussels Beer Fest 2018, we decided to come back with a new batch of that gorgeous oatmeal imperial stout brewed with coffee. Once again, no compromises were made! We are proud to offer complete transparency regarding the sourcing of our products. We established a partnership with Mamé Noka, a human scale, fair trade coffee import buisness.
Mamé Noka's working territory covers various equatorial areas, depending on the seasons: a short path to a long run.
Every Whack brewing session will showcase a different coffee. For this edition we used the same coffee as for the original: a harvest from the Boyo Project in Cameroun.

15th July 2019 Bottleshare at Craft Islington. Almost clear dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate z semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Thin tangy dark malts. Mellow cream and tangy dark chocolate. Quite thing and tangy. Little tangy dark fruits. Okay. Lacks any luxury feel for an Impy. 3.1

Revisit. Still finding this on the thin side but the coffee is much better here, smooth black coffee sits well with the modest dark malts, slightly earthy coffee and modest dark fruits into a smooth finish. Decent.

27 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Deputy Taster: Anke. Cheers to Ama Deke, Erwin, John & Meeki! Hazy dark brown-black, lasting, small, foamy, beige head. Aroma of coffee bean, fondant, toast, tobacco, walnut, earth, dried leaves. Taste is medium malty sweet, quite nutty, a bit fruity with a sourish edge, roasted notes of coffee, earth & black tea, leading to a dry, earthy hoppy finish where coffee, fondant, toast & warming coffee liqueur alcohol linger. Medium to full body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Coffee all the way, very nice.

Black as the night this one. As it should be. Beige head that leaves a dotted lacing. Quite pleasant and mellow aroma with a fine intensity. Balanced sweet and an ok bitterness. Lasting tail. Coffee, chocolate and herbal/grassy flavor. [Taster from Werkmeister] Brewery #1990
