After rocking the scene of the Brussels Beer Fest 2018, we decided to come back with a new batch of that gorgeous oatmeal imperial stout brewed with coffee. Once again, no compromises were made! We are proud to offer complete transparency regarding the sourcing of our products. We established a partnership with Mamé Noka, a human scale, fair trade coffee import buisness.
Mamé Noka's working territory covers various equatorial areas, depending on the seasons: a short path to a long run.
Every Whack brewing session will showcase a different coffee. For this edition we used the same coffee as for the original: a harvest from the Boyo Project in Cameroun.

21/09/2018 - draught glass @GIST. Black colour with brown head. Nose is roast, chocolate, caramel. Taste is roast, coffee, milk chocolate, caramel. Velvety mouthfeel. Not in your face but a smooth one. Really nice to see them deliver a nice higher ABV beer.

Sampled @ Borefts Pre-tasting. Dark brown to black color, small light brown colored head. Smell and taste malts, lots of roast and quite earthy. Light sweet touch in the distance, dark malt bitterness lingers. Texture is a bit thin, body is average, carbonation is medium to high. Meh. 6-3-6-2-11.

Pours black, stable, creamy tanned head. Nice lacing as well. Taste is sharp, roasty, coffee, intense. Taste is sharp, intense, roasty, coffee, medium full bodied, medium to medium low carbo. Nice balanced stout. Not up there with international great names ( needs more body, for one ) but a nice enough Belgian stout i'd like to consume my other bottles of with pleasure.
