Medium brown. No head. Sticky, boozy af, woody, some molasses type notes in there as well. A bit messy, but worth a shot.

A taster shared with Josh, Matt, Phill, and Ryan during FHF with priceless Rachel's (yup, again!) help in organizing all the mess with glasses. Appearance: brown. Aroma: American oak accompanied with fruity character. Taste: almost flat, sweet, nice oak, a bit malty. Overall: good.

750ml bottle from Luvians, St Andrews. It pours hazy darkest reddish - brown with a lasting beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, toasty, roasted malt, charred oak, vanilla, toasted coconut, nougat, jammy berry, raspberry compote, cranberry, bounty bar, tunnocks teacakes, caramel log, warming whisky, touch of smoked peat, toffee and whisky fudge. The taste is slick, oily, unctuous, toasty, charred oak, dried fruits, fruit cake, liquorice, umami, nip of spice, jammy red berry, fruit compote, tunnocks teacake, caramel log, warming whisky, light smoke, peat, fudge, toffee, touch of tannin and warming spice with a slick, toasty finale. Fulsome body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. Big and great depth of flavour. Rather quaffable stuff.

On tap at Hanging Bat, pours a deep dark mahogany with a tiny beige head. Aroma brings out treacle toffee, with caramel, light bourbon barrels and dark dried fruits. Flavour is ridiculously intense, with intense caramel, treacle toffee, and a touch of vanilla. Sweet and syrupy but not cloying. Complex and well-integrated. A lovely slow sipper.
