Ambiorix led a small Belgian tribe to victory over the Roman Empire. It was the greatest and most humiliating military defeat ever suffered by Julius Caesar and his soldiers. Our 100th brew—Centurion—is a collaboration to mark our second birthday. In the words of Caesar: "Horum omnium fortissimi sunt Belgae,"—"Of all these, the Belgians are the strongest." Centurion was brewed in collaboration with ‘t Verzet, Hof ten Dormaal and Armand Debelder. On a base of the soft, biscuity flavours of a relatively classic Saison malt bill (pils, munich, dark wheat, light wheat, barley flakes, oat flakes), we’re combining the citrus qualities of our yeast strain with the tropical and stone fruit juiciness associated with the “New England” moniker, not to mention its low bitterness, late and dry hop additions in huge quantities and fruit juice hop haze.

Bxlbeerfest. Pours hazy golden. Aroma is fruity, peach. Flavor is sweet and bitter, fruits, peach, mango. Overall: good

Tap at BXL festival. Very hazy orange golden with white head. Spicy yeast, strong gooseberries, bitter herbs, white grapes, dank hops, star fruit, grassy, light bready malts, CO2. Just medium sweet and quite bitter. Medium bodied with full fizzy carbonation.

Thanks to sharing RB crew. Sampled draft @ Gents Bierfestival 2018. Dark orange, creamy white head. Nose is plastic, white grape, fruity, floral, hay, interesting,… Taste is bit mellow but nice fluffy bread, white hay, white grape, honeydew,… Rich plastic, bread body,… Not very NE or saison, not sure how to classify it but I rather liked it. Hof Ten Dormaal didn’t ruin it, I hear they were very minimally involved.

Cloudy yellow colour with thin soapy head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of tropical fruit hop notes. Low bitterness. Interesting twist with the Saison yeast. Adds a different type of bitterness and a nice Belgian twist.

Draught Dense, yellow head over hazy yellow-ochreish beer. Overpowering fruity C-hops, passion fruit, grapefruit, citruspeel. Bitterish, strawlike, sweetish pale malts. Medium bodied, quite slick and velvety (the oats?), well carbonated. Not half bad!

Very cloudy blond beer, creamy yellowish solid head, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, tropical fruits, melon, sweetish, caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter, hoppy, spicy, rosemary, bit grassy, medicinal bitterness, floral. Aftertaste: bitter, bit floral, yeast, hoppy, herbal bitterness, resinous.

Pours unclear peachy blonde. Small white head. Smell is tad spice, taste is sharp, tad bitter, dry, spice ( lemongrass?) rather thin body, ok carbo.
