Bottle. Pours black with small white head. Aroma is roasted malt and rye bread. Taste is light to medium sweet, light bitter and light acidic. Body is oily with soft carbonation. Finish is medium long and mostly sweet with notes of sugar, malt, rye bread, "øllebrød", licorice and hints of coffee. Very mild

330 ml green bottle, from Coop Mega Støperigården, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Beautiful dark brown to ruby colour, moderate beige head. Pleasant aroma of herbal and grassy (German and Czech?) hops, also some mild roasty notes with brown bread and caramel. Light bodied and refreshing. Not too sweet flavour, again mild roasty notes, chocolate, brown bread and caramel, not very bitter. In a blind test I might have guessed that this was a Münchener Dunkel, or possibly an English dark mild, rather than a porter. Anyway, it is a pleasant and enjoyable beer to drink.

330 ml bottle. Clear dark brown body with a moderate sized tan head that fades pretty fast. Aroma has toast and brown sugar. Flavor is quite sweet caramel malt, toast, brown sugar and hint of dry fruit. Medium to thin body and short aftertaste. Very plain and one-dimensional.

Clear, very dark brown with airy light beige head. Arom has roasted malt, coffee and hints of licorice. Fruity, slightly sour flavour. Has some syrupy sweetness and something like roasted rhye. Seems weirdly artificial.

Flaske 330ml fra Coop OBS i Tromsø. Dyprød. Middels høyt tett skum med litt farge. Pene filigranser. Bra aroma av bær & trær. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken lett fruktig. Mørke plommer. Blir svakt syrlig etter hvert. Bra øl - men ikke mye som minnet om en porter.

Bottle generously contributed by OE at OSB 30.03.15. Ebony. Foamy, demse and persistent beige head and lacing. Fresh aroma of English hops, fresh grass, meadows and dark caramel malt. Taste of toffee and liquorice - still with hops.
